Ce thé vert est issu de la coopérative Da Zhang Shan (Association des agriculteurs du Grand mont des brumes), située dans la région du Jiang Xi au Sud Ouest de Shanghai. Le climat humide, la végétation verdoyante et un sol riche, de cette région montagneuse donnent des conditions propices à la culture du thé. Créée en 1997, Da Zhang Shan regroupe 3404 petits producteurs organisés en villages et répartis en petites parcelles, à taille humaine, sur 4200 ha.
